This series of videos came from trying to look at blogging in a different way. At the end of the Summer of 2009 I decided to delete a blog that I had been keeping for the last couple of years. Before doing so all the information contained in the blog was copied and pasted into text files. In effect the blog was taken offline.

After doing so a screen capture program called Snapz was used to frame and record the act of quickly scanning through the pages. The soundtrack to these videos uses remixed home recordings, often involving my son Kai. In the end the rush of these images and sounds seems to become something new and exciting. The poet Arthur Rimbaud once wrote in praise of "The systematic disorganization of the senses." This series grows from that same aspiration.
